Data Privacy
The Harbours Medical Practice aims to ensure the highest standards of medical care for our patients. To do this we keep records about our patients, their health and the care we have provided to them, and these contain personal information.
New legislation regarding the management and processing of personal information, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is effective across the European Union from 25th May 2018. The GDPR replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and is designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens’ data privacy and to reshape the way in which organisations across the region approach data privacy.
Our Data Protection Notice has been updated so that it provides more detail on how we use people’s personal information, and to comply with the requirements of the GDPR. You can request a copy of our Data Protection Policy via our secure online form
