Dr Jon Turvill

It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the saddest news that Dr Jon Turvill died peacefully on 31/07/25.

He had been unwell for some time and had been off work in recent months. He had worked as a GP Partner at the practice for almost 29 years and had also served as Clinical Director in East Lothian HSCP.

There are no words to express our huge loss of a strong, wise, calm, kind, caring, fun, compassionate, hardworking and joyful Jon, with his passion for general practice near and far! He will be sorely missed by us all.

It has been the toughest of years for us at the Harbours Practice and our team, but we are doing our best to keep the wheels turning.

We have so much to be thankful for in all that we shared, and all that Dr Turvill has contributed to us in East Lothian through his commitment, vision and love of his work as a GP in service to patients and colleagues.
